job possibilities
So I haven’t heard anything on this job I interviewed for. The VP is out of town on business and I would be his assistant. Anyway, it seems like it will be dull as heck, nothing like working with the boys (I love those guys!). But at least it pays more and it’s like five minutes from home.
If this doesn’t pan out, I hope to get an interview with two other companies I sent my resume to. They also pay more and are less than ten miles away from home.
One company (the one I’m waiting for the VP to return from business) is the maker of ingredients for Dryer’s and Baskin Robins ice cream, another sends nurses to people’s homes, and the other one I don’t know much about because it’s through a job agency. It just says they provide a fun work environment. Does that mean there’s a disco ball hanging from the ceiling and free Cosmos being handed out? My last resort would be to work at this place for the same pay (for now) but the advantage is that it’s two minutes from home (and gas being what it is, it’s like a small raise because right now I do have a commute), they have great benefits, room for advancement, and I can probably get my schooling paid for if I stay in the medical field. But other than that it doesn’t seem worth the bother of changing jobs. I guess I’m just bored of being at the same place and this one is a clinic so there’s a lot of action (but also a lot of germs).
