Bad Days are Coming

I am seeking new employment. The company I work for has had some setbacks and they are trying to save money by eliminating certain positions. The woman I work with in the office is being laid off. I think the only reason I didn't get the axe instead is that I have seniority. I feel so bad because she's got kids and is on her own and last year she got her car stolen, her daughter was shot in a drive-by and then that same daughter was in a car accident. A drunk driver plowed into the car she was in. Her boyfriend and baby were also in the car. Her boyfriend had to have pins put in his legs. The baby was a little banged up.

Anyway, I am very uncomfortable with this situation so I want out of here. I think if I find something in the next 2 weeks she can stay here. She really loves this job. If I stay I have to assume her responsibilities and probably for the same pay and I'll be super stressed out. Not cool!
