Watercooler Talk
When I got to work today, the girls started talking about the "Dancing With the Stars" finale last night. One of the older ladies said that Stacey Keebler's downfall was what made her popular at first: her sexy bod. Apparently, she believes, women didn't want to vote for a hot chick who showed a lot of flesh. I told my mom the same thing: women will vote for Drew Lachey 'cause he's cute (he CAN dance, though- really well!) and men will vote for Jerry Rice 'cause he's a sports hero. I was right!
But obviously, there are exceptions to every rule. My mom voted 4 times for Stacey Keebler, feeling that she danced well and not wanting the victory to go to Jerry because he really couldn't dance well.
I think that Jerry deserved to go far at least because he tried REALLY HARD. He's very disciplined which is how he got so far in his football career, I'm sure. But my own dad, who is a huge Niners fan, felt it was an injustice that Rice beat out and bumped off Lisa Renna.
The girls at the office were quite cruel about Lisa's horrible lip implants or collagen injection disaster and said she was horrible.
That older woman who said Stacey Keebler could not win due to her beauty said that Oprah once said her popularity with women was due to her being unnatractive. One of the girls then said, "Oprah's pretty!" but I was thinking, "Huh?" Oprah is NOT pretty. She can look very presentable after her millions of dollars get her the best hair stylists, makeup artists and beauty treatments (such as those diamond facials) but without makeup she's quite ugly. A lot of women feel insecure without their makeup when in actuallity they don't look so bad (and some look great because they ARE pretty) but some do look pretty terrible without the magic touch of foundation, concealer, and eyeshadow.
One of the girls also said that Drew Lachey (who won) said, "I don't mind if Jerry wins because that's the ugliest trophy I've ever seen." What a misqoute! He kept asserting that he'd be fine with Jerry winning because Jerry had worked so hard and he did say, "It's an ugly trophy but you still want it" but not that he hoped Jerry would get it instead of him because it was ugly. I was like, "Wow, she really changed that one."
I didn't see the closing ceremonies of the Winter Olympics but I had seen the opening cermonies and had really enjoyed myself. Oh well. Maybe next time.

Stacy Kiebler was robbed. she was the clear winner.
My theory is she didn't win because last season's winner was also a not-too-well-known bombshell of a girl, who was under 30.

I disagree- Drew really deserved to win. She was more of a second place winner.

My mom pointed Stacy out weeks ago. WWE should re-hire her, although it doesn't matter much to me since I don't watch anymore.
Dancing with Celebrities, Skating with Jerk-asses...same shit.
