Rainy Movie Sunday

I'm terribly sleepy on this rainy day. The moisture gave my right arm a real whipping and I had to take Tylenol 500 mg. and I had already had a Benadryl for allergies. Normally I can take these medicines together, even at work, with no problem. But for some reason I got super sleepy. If I'm not careful though my masseuse might find me naked and dead. No, that's a bad joke. Poor Heath Ledger! He deserved better than to be found dead Marilyn Monroe-style.

Anyway, I have been watching up a movie storm! I joined Netflix and for someone who hates movies I have watched a lot of stuff since joining two weeks ago. I've watched Harry Potter 4, Finding Neverland, Marie Antoinnette and Mildred Pierce- and that's just the DVD's I've gotten in the mail. I've also watched several movies online like Monsoon Wedding, The Hours, Vertigo, Long Life Happiness & Prosperity, Woman is the Future of Man, Dolls and Manhattan Murder Mystery.

Last night the church had a special worship event and it was just prayer and singing and very beautiful and powerful. This guy came up to me afterward and remarked that he liked my dress and something about the polka dots. Thing is I've noticed him before. As a matter of coincidence, the last time we had an event of this nature was in 2000 and I remember the next day for church some people from a different area church came to our church and he was there and I never forgot him for some reason. You might be thinking he's some kind of hunk and that is why. But no. He's sort of an average looking guy- he's not hot and he's not ugly. He wears glasses and is a bit over medium build. He's actually almost pudgy but I think he told me one time (or I heard him tell someone this?) that he used to be really fat and lost a lot of weight. Anyway, here I was and I was hoping he'd ask for my number but this other girl came up to him and they started talking and he got totally distracted and we were outside this theater and it was pouring rain and it was very crowded....so it didn't happen. Curses! Foiled again.

Well now I'm sort of awake. I almost took a nap but something woke me up and I can't just sleep now. So I thought I'd update this thing. See you guys after my vaction...

It was good! I love to watch films that immerse you in a totally different culture. Even if I ever travel to India I would not, you know, experience it the way the locals do (obviously) so I loved that. Plus, it was touching but you know, not cheesy. But Dolls slayed me! I don't know what anyone else thinks of that movie but for me, it was IN.CRE.DI.BLE.

Oh- I just finishied Coversations with Other Women. It was pretty good. Helena Bonham Carter is radiantly beautiful- you can't look away from her! Please, God- let me still look like that 3 years from now when I'm 38 as she was in this movie!

I had a subscription to Netflix once, back when it was new and $20 per month!
I told them i wanted to cancel after awhile and they slashed it down to $10. Now I'd rather spend the money on a World of Warcraft subscription
