Rants, Raves, Musings, Epiphanies and Observations

I am watching the memorial service for that Blue Angel who died in a plane crash last week (Lt. Cmdr. Kevin Davis) and what I find really cool is that in lieu of flowers the Navy has asked that people make donations to the Make-A-Wish Foundation in his name. I remember the absolute millions of flowers that were left for Princess Diana upon her untimely and tragic demise and I just KNOW that she would have preferred a donation be made in HER name to some worthy cause as well.
Speaking of British charity campaigners, Heather Mills (referred to as Yoko Uno by those insensitive jerks at The Soup) has been booted off Dancing with the Stars. I voted for her more than once and I am sad to see her go. Even though Billy Ray Cyrus is very charming and handsome and has good chemistry with Karina Smirnoff (let me state that I am tempted to believe she sleeps with all her partners!), he is NOT a dancer and I think Heather did a much better job, missing leg and all.

It seems Rosie O'Donnell has decided to leave "The View". No surprise there. I find her grating though contrary to what you may assume, it has nothing to do with her openly liberal world-view. I just couldn't put my finger on it before but now that she has admitted to being depressed (which is admirable), I realized that she has some sort of mental disorder that makes her volatile. Let me just say that I can't stand Donald Trump and I'm glad she let him have it! Glad I say!

In light of several news items involving disgruntled people, I find myself wondering what is up with society and why can't people just accept rejection or getting told "NO" anymore? Must people always resort to shooting those who deny them things like jobs or apartments? It's ridiculous!

I can't wait for Top Model tonight and rest assured I will blog about the results. Go Nata!

If you're wondering which one qualifies as an epiphany, I must admit my title is deceitful. Sorry.

Another interesting read from M.s Spleengrrl!

    I hate guns!

I love Rosie's views on things. She is is a bit volatile, but I respect that she has openly critized those figures whom a lot of people are afraid of publicly challenging. Above all, I like Rosie because when it comes to children's issues, she is the number one person out there advocating their causes.

p.s. I am predicting that Brittany will be eliminated tonight from ANTM...

Actually, many many moons ago when Rosie was still The Queen of Nice and I was still the Queen of Debauchery, I was often left DUMBFOUNDED by some of the things she said in reference to her children. No parent is perfect but she often left me worried about her kids. I'm sure she LOVES them and all...but she's nuts!!! Plus, I'm not sure WHO she has challenged that is so "untouchable". Bush? Please, he's EVERYBODY'S punching bag and punchline. Trump? Who cares. Let her speak out against Oprah like 50 Cent did! That takes guts!
