SERIOUSLY SICK
I'm listening to one of my all-time favorite songs, "TV Party Tonight" by Black Flag. It totally describes how I feel...even though they wrote it to illustrate the stupidity of the TV generation. But I just LOOOOVE the chorus: "We've got nothing better to do...than to watch TV and have a couple of brews...." I also love where they say: "Don't talk about anything else, we don't wanna know- we're dedicated to our favorite shows" and they shout out a bunch of shows like "Dallas!" or "That's Incredible!" I roll every time!
The best part is when they say "I wouldn't be without my TV for a day (Or even a minute!) Don't bother to use my brain anymore- (There's nothing left in it!)"
By the end of the song, the TV is broken! I hate it when that happens! The last time my TV was broken (turns out it wasn't but something was wrong with the on/off button) I almost DIED.

I checked out a group on MySpace for members of my church and kinda liked this one guy and added him as a friend...until I read in his profile where it asks to list favorite TV shows he wrote that he doesn't watch TV at all. I was like, "DELETE! DELETE!"

Yeah, lack of TV might make you smarter but also way boring. I think you have to watch a little TV at least or you'll have nothing to talk about with your co-workers. I think America is very diverse and separated by political affiliations, religion, etc. but there's one thing people can talk about: TV.

Exactly! I have a lot of diverse friends and don't like to cut myself off from them through political or religious affiliations (notice my posts, even the ones about my beliefs, are not about pushing my beliefs just defending my rights to have them, etc. and most are about other topics).
Thank God for TV though! We can definitely agree on THAT.

Exactly!!! I work wit pretty middle-of-the-road folks, whom I have not too much in common with...but we always connect the day after a good DANCING WITH THE STARS, GRAY'S ANATOMY, or LOST episode.

Well, now I feel left out. I don't watch Lost or Gray's Anatomy. And sadly, Dancing with the Stars is over....but Apolo won! Yay!
