calming

I just went out to the backyard and it was so nice...there's a cool breeze blowing to sort of ease the burn of the hot sun; the bees are buzzing and drinking deep of the nectar from the peach tree; the church bells are ringing to remind us that it is One O'Clock. I love serene momensts like these though it's actually rare that I should go out to the backyard! I'm not a big nature-lover. I mean, I just LOVE to look at scenes of lakes or majestic ice-capped mountains or beautiful meadows or even corn fields but I'm not one to go stand out there and "be in it". The most I will tolerate is going out the beach because I love the ocean, the waves, the sand, the salty smell....other than that, forget it.

As for the bees, it's comforting to me that even though scientists and naturalists are wondering where all the bees have gone and are concerned, I know there's tons of them in my own backyard!

Sorry, I removed the previous comment because I accidentally wrote it under my sister's login. I was just saying that you would like your backyard more if you made your brother fix it up. You can't depend on Ty because he recently got a DUI so he might end up like Paris any day now.

Please put your dad and brothers to work on your backyard. Surely they can get off the internet for a couple of hours...

And, this reminds me... My offer still stands. I will help you garden and plant a few things in your yard, when you're ready to do it. This weekend I planted basil, more thyme, parsley, and cilantro...

P.S. I love birds and I love bees.

I can't "put" anyone to work. You know this already- I'm not the boss of anyone. My dad and brothers can do what they want or see fit or have time and energy to do. My dad's too old and one of my brothers is very intelligent but not big on the common sense/heavy work stuff. The other would probably do it if we asked but whatever. I live and rent here but I am not the owner and can't do anything about that stuff except hire out someone to do it.
I appreciate whatever anyone can contribute from the family to the family and everyone does something or other.

PS I deleted hostile's response because it was sort the same line as rv3's- it was putting down people (in the family) and I'd rather not have anyone put down. You, RV3, I decided to leave because then my response would make no sense!
