FAIR IS FAIR

Ok, I think it's time for a clarification. A lot of well-meaning friends are saying that I should be like Jesus who was known not to judge others and hung out with "tax collectors and sinners" (including "sinful women" or, presumably, prostitutes). Well, I hang out with a lot of people. I don't consider myself better than them.

But let's be fair, friends: you who want me to date outside my church, would YOU date outside your value system? Do you even have FRIENDS who are conservative right-wing Repulblican evangelical Christians (and please don't think "yes- you" because I'm a registered Democrat and not an evalgelical) much less would you date one and marry one?????

So please don't be upset that I want to date/marry someone with my values who is going to pass on those values to my children.

I have a very good friend who, for example, would not date a closeted gay man because he is "done with that." (Will would not either on "Will and Grace") These are values and important considerations for people.

Again, don't judge me as being close minded. Ask yourselves those questions first

Well, I don't believe heaven is like that at all and the Bible says there is no marriage in heaven so it has NOTHING whatsoever to do with that. I am just saying that you guys (non-Christians) have your values that you want in a mate and I do too. I'd rather go to the grave single than compromise what I deeply believe in because no man is more important to me than God.
