The Pick-up Artist

So the swimming pool guy was back. I was very surprised because I got to the gym really late as I had an appointment with the massage therapy school to check it out and also had stopped home to run errands first. Anyway, this time there was no ignoring him since there really weren't a lot of people there at all. He lent me his goggles and taught me how to breathe, which I really needed. Now I can pick up my speed.

We had a conversation from which I found out he thought I was about twenty-one but I'm actually thirty-two. He also invited himself to my church when I told him I don't date non-Christians. So he's going with me a week from today to our midweek service. He seems like a nice person but I never have enjoyed pick-ups and such. I hope he gets along well with the men from the church because I'm going to have to leave him to them for a time to make sure his interest in Christianity is genuine. I'm still looking for that elusive nice Christian man and I'm looking in my church.

Good luck... But shouldn't your first outing be going out for coffee or a stroll?

There will be no outings and I don't need "luck", thanks. If he doesn't ever become a Christian, I will NEVER go out with him, period. (Except maybe with friends as friends)

I don't think you can beat him up, Hostile, but thanx for the sentiment. He's not big or anything but he's in shape (a fast swimmer, that is). But I guess you can hold his face down in the water...

Not being a Christian does not make anyone bad but I have a right to marry people who share my worldviews and convictions. I have a friend who "would never marry a Republican" because he is a liberal minded individual. And I am NOT desperate. If I were, I would have gotten with someone a long time ago as I've had many offers. Who are you to judge anyway??????
