Now if only the Korean Daily Drama on Channel 18 had English subtitles....

Well, it's almost my birthday so I have started to celebrate early. I am going out tonight for Mexican & margaritas. Well, maybe not plural. Margarita. But it will be on the rocks! =Anyway, a message to Lucy: I tried to post comments on your blog but could not, however I will try later on. I love the pictures of your bundle of joy!! Maybe I should be the one with a "Yellowpop" blog, however, as I've been watching tons of Chinese and Japanese films on Netflix with tons more on the way. I am also reading "China Boy" by Gus Lee. Sadly, I bought this book years ago when I was jonesing for something Asian-themed but had run out of Amy Tan books. Well, I somehow got the idea, after barely reading like 2 pages, from something in the BACK of the book, that it was an autobiography. At the time, I was disappointed because I wanted FICTION. Well, all these years later (3, I think), I started to re-read it and by the time I was in like Chapter 4 and was enjoying this autobiography immensely, I realized it was fiction after all. I felt quite silly and it's embarassing to admit to this error, but at least I discovered a great book and author. So there's like 2 more books by him I want to read.

The movies I mentioned include "The Story of Qui Ju", which is Chinese and was pretty good. I didn't love it, however, as I did "Stolen Life" and "Electric Shadows" (also Chinese). Well, hopefully if my readers have not seen or read anything I have just mentioned, you may be enticed to from this blog post. I realize I did not "review" anything but just take my word for it, okay!

Sorry, Andy said he fixed it on Friday so it should be working. Happy Birthday eve!

Well, as a tribute to your people, I will try to watch Dos Mujeres, Un Camino again though I already know that he ends up with no one because the girlfriend kills herself and the wife took off with the kids because he called the girlfriend's name in his sleep.

    Happy Birthday, Wendy!!!

If you liked "The Story of Qui Ju," check out the rest of the films by that director, Zhang Yumou. He was one of my favorite director in the 1990s.

All of those titles camo out in the 2000s!

You need to see "Ju Dou," "Raise the Red Lantern," "Red Sorghum," "To Live..."

I will receive Raise the Red Lantern tomorrow. It's been in my queue for a while. The others are as well.
